educationBRICS News 2017 June

Dear colleagues and students:

This issue of the monthly BRICS NU newsletter can be safely called «special», since we decided to devote it to some of the most important events, which will be organized very soon by the current BRICS Chairship country, the Peoples Republic of China. This year the senior officials meeting on education and the meeting of the ministers of education of the BRICS countries are to held rather early, on July 4-5th, 2017 in Beijing, China. This fact does make the summer rather busy for everybody involved in the BRICS university collaboration.

The list of the events starts with the BRICS Think Tank Forum to be organized on May 25th -26th, 2017 by the BRICS studies centre of Fudan University in Shanghai (http://nu-brics.ru/announcements/19/). It continues with the Ninth BRICS Academic Forum in Fuzhou on June 9th -  12th, 2017. The most important event of the BRICS NU year – an annual general BRICS NU conference – will be hosted by North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power on 1st – 3rd July, 2017 in Zhengzhou (Henan Province of China).

These meetings in education will be followed by a number of the meetings devoted to the science and technology, of which one of the most important is the Second BRICS Young Scientist Forum to be held on 11th – 15th July by Zhejiang University in Hangzhou.
Of course, the BRICS events on education and research in China will continue in August and September… We will do our best to keep our subscribers informed on these further events in our next issues.
