2016 Yuelu Forum for International Scholars

Yuelu Forum of International Young Scholars (Winter Forum) aims at gathering outstanding young scholars from home and abroad with various academic backgrounds at the foot of the scenic Yuelu Hill in the historically and culturally renowned city of Changsha for exchanges and explorations of international frontier science and technology and their latest development. It consists of four sub-forums focusing respectively on 1) mathematics, physics and chemistry; 2) engineering, energy, material and environmental science; 3) information and life science; and 4) economic management, humanities and social sciences. This forum is meant to promote, through academic discussions, the exchanges and cooperation between young scholars from all over the world so that they could join hands in the exploration of frontiers of science and scale heights of academic research.

Guide to Application
Step 1: Open the website of ’2016 Yuelu Forum of International Young Scholars (http://yllt.hnu.edu.cn);

Step 2: Click registration at the lower left-hand corner of login window on the right;

Step 3: Fill in user name and password for registration;

Step 4: Click submit on the left for submission or modification of application;

Step 5: Choose the desired sub-forum, complete the application form and upload your resume and other documents;

Step 6: Click submit. Your application is accepted with the message “Your application has been successfully submitted; please track your application status";

Step 7: The organizer will process the applications in time and send invitations to successful applicants through email.


Qualifications of Application
Outstanding young scholars from home and abroad under the age of 40 and with some achievements in the fields of natural sciences and engineering technology, economic management, humanities and social sciences and with considerable potentials for future development.

Qualified young scholars from home and abroad can register and fill in relevant personal information online (http://yllt.hnu.edu.cn). Please note that the application deadline for the winner forum is December 1st, 2016.

Travel and Accommodations
Hunan University will provide each invited scholar with an amount of up to RMB￥12,000 to cover his/her round-trip travel, local transportation, accommodations and printing. The university will make arrangements for the accommodations during the forum.
