报告摘要：F1Tenth无人车竞速赛（https://f1tenth.org/）是将仿真模型车经过机械、电子、算法改装为无人车进行的一项国际级赛事。F1Tenth是一个非常好的工程训练与交流的开放式平台。中国大陆一些知名高校和研究机构如清华大学、上海交通大学等，已开始参与到F1Tenth开放平台的教学、竞赛和科研活动中。F1Tenth比赛为各类研究人员和学生提供了实际操作自动驾驶车辆的机会，通过竞赛平台，用户可以学习交流，并与国际团队共同竞争。
Y. Rosa Zheng教授（利哈伊大学教授，IEEE Fellow）首创在Lehigh University开设了F1/10工程训练课程，教学成果硕果累累。目前，她的研究兴趣包括水下和地下物联网、无线通信、无线传感器网络、压缩感知、机器学习和机器人技术，她主持了多学科交叉的NSF国家科学基金项目。本次演讲介绍了用于自动驾驶和机器人赛车的F110和F1/16教学平台，它包括一个ROS 2模拟器和配备边缘计算设备和传感器的F1/10或F1/16级玩具车。教学模块包括反应式算法，如间隙跟踪，以及路径规划算法，如SLAM（同步定位和映射）和快速探索随机树（RRT）/RRT*。欢迎对讲座相关内容感兴趣的本科生、研究生和老师们前来参加讲座并交流。
报告人简介：Y. Rosa Zheng, IEEE Fellow, Dept of ECE, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA 18015.Yahong Rosa Zheng received the B.S. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, in 1987, and the M.S. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1989, both in electrical engineering. She received the Ph.D. degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, ONT, Canada, in 2002. She was an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow for two years with the University of Missouri-Columbia. Then, she was on the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology for 13 years. Since Aug. 2018, she has been a professor in the ECE department at Lehigh University. She has developed more than 10 new courses over the past 18 years of college teaching. Her research interests include underwater and underground IoT, wireless communications, wireless sensor networks, compressive sensing, machine learning and robotics. She has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for many IEEE international conferences. She served as Associate Editor for three IEEE journals and a senior editor for IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine. She is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering. She is the recipient of an NSF faculty CAREER award in 2009. She has been an IEEE fellow and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society since 2015. She has also served on the IEEE Fellow evaluation committee for the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society since 2018.
